PREPARING FOR THE SAINTS
The Seahawks took to the field Wednesday afternoon as they began their preparations for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saint. While the team is 2-0 the mood around the Virginia Mason Athletic Center is one of improvement and achieving perfection. The Seahawks had two fumbles and ten penalties for 93 yards. In addition to the fumbles and penalties, the Seahawks gave up four sacks. Numbers and miscues that concerned head coach Pete Carroll.
“Yeah, we’re concerned. I like what we did in the second half last week. We really caught up with the rhythm and the style. Russ (Wilson) was phenomenal, but he worked together with his guys up front in really good fashion. There’s numbers of reasons why, but it’s great having Mike [Iupati] back in the lineup to give him the stats stability. We’ve got good play out of George [Fant] as well. Mike hasn’t played in a month. George [Fant] missed three weeks or something too. Those little issues can be concerns and maybe we can get better. We’re kind of counting on it as we stay together and keep making progress.”Pete Carroll’s answer when asked if he was concerned about his team offensive line issues
SAINTS STARTING QUARTERBACK
With All- Pro and future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees out with an thumb injury and no official replacement named the question of the day was who would the Seahawks prepare to defend at quarterback?
