EASTERN GAME REVIEW
After just one nonconference tune up game the #13/12 ranked University of Washington Huskies (1-0) will get right into conference play Saturday night when they host the none ranked California Golden Bears (1-0). There is good chance that the Huskies will move up in the rankings by game time Saturday because the weekly ranking are announced Tuesday afternoon. Here’s what the head coach Chris Petersen had to say during his Monday afternoon press conference
TOUGH OPPONENT EARLY
Both Pac-12 foes are coming off game one wins. Cal overcame a 10-0 first quarter deficit in its 27 to 13 wins over UC Davis of California. The meanwhile barely broke a sweat in their convincing 47-14 win over Eastern Washington. Both teams will be looking to stay undefeated Saturday night with the Huskies having a little extra insensitive as they try to avenge last season’s 10-12 defensive slugfest loss at Cal.
RECEIVERS PLAY WILL BE CRITICAL
During the preseason the coaches were clear of thier expecations from the wide recievers unit. Against Eastern four difference recivers had at least five receptions. While one game does not a season make Petersen was pleased with the play of the receiving unit.
