The Seattle Seahawks held the second of their ten-day Organized Team Activities ( OTAs) Tuesday morning at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center
OTAs are limited practices where no live contact is permitted but teams will be able to run 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. The OTAs provide a chance for the 2019 draft class to state their case for a spot on the 53 roster while competing against the team’s veterans.
The OTAs are the only practices between the end of the previous season and the start of training camp. Missing from Tuesday’s session was Chris Carson ( knee) , Bradley McDougal ( knee) , Tre Flowers , Jareen Reed ( core muscle) and Delano Hill ( hip injury) Newly signed defensive end Ezekiel Ansah ended last season on the Detroit Lions injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury did not participate but that was to be expected. When the Seahawks signed Ansah the expectation was that he would miss training camp and possibly the first part of the season.
