Washington Huskies Men’s Basketball players held their beginning of the season interviews today on Montlake, to talk about expectations for the upcoming season and the what the Huskies must improve upon in year two under Mike Hopkins.
Noah Dickerson (Forward)
Highlight: Dickerson said he has unfinished business and wants to graduate which is why he came back for his senior season.
David Crisp (Guard)
Highlight: Crisp said he it means everything to him that Hopkins has so much faith in him and refers to him as the rock of the team.
Matisse Thybulle (Guard)
Highlight: Thybulle said he has worked on his game and his main team goal is to make the NCAA Tournament.
Jaylen Nowell (Guard)
Highlight: Nowell says he is completely ready for Hopkins enthusiasm and there is no way to not get ready for it!
Dominic Green (Forward)
Highlight: Green said that even though he is known as a shooter, he prides himself on being a great defensive player too.
Nahziah Carter (Forward)
Highlight: Carter said that even though he put on 20 pounds, he trained hard so it wouldn’t sacrifice his speed.
Hameir Wright (Forward)
Highlight: Wright said that in year two under Hopkins the team feels more like a family now and the relationships between players are great.
Sam Timmins (Forward)
Highlight: Timmins said that the difference for him in year two now is he isn’t thinking as much but just reacting more.
