Sounders return to practice prepare for Montreal Impact

The Seattle Sounders ( 0-2) returned to the practice pitch Tuesday morning after some rest and recovery and turned their attention to Saturday Nights 7:00p.m.  MLS home match against the Montreal Impact( 1-0-2). The Impact have a little bounce in their step after a 1-0 victory over the defending MLS Champions Toronto FC. It was Montreal’s first win of the season after a 0-2 start.

Saturday night will mark exactly thirteen days since the Sounders last game, a 3-0 road loss to FC Dallas. The 3-0 loss to Dallas came four days after the Sounders 3-0 loss to Chivas Guadalajara at  Estadio Akron in Guadalajara Mexico.

The loss to the Liga MX knocked the Sounders out of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal round.  It was a disappointing loss in that the Sounders won Leg One (1-0) of the two Legged round and not only believed they had the upper hand but had a legitimate shot at winning the Tournament.

The saving grace for the Sounders was the FIFA International break from March 19th thru March 27th.  While four players will be representing their Country during the FIFA break the four players,  Cristian Roldan ( USA) , Roman Torres( Panama), Gustav Svensson( Sweden) and Jordy Delem ( Martinique) are all expected back and ready to participate for Saturdays must-win game against the Impact.
