The No. 6/ 7 ranked University of Washington (3-0) Huskies completed their nonconference schedule with a 48 to 16 beat down of Fresno State Saturday night at Husky Stadium and now turn their attention to undefeated Pac 12- foe Colorado Buffaloes (3-0). The Huskies will travel to Boulder next Saturday ( 7:00p.m. PT) to face a team they defeated 41-10 in last year’s Pac-12 Championship game at Santa Clara.
This years game is sure to be close just as last years game was until a 35-yard pick-six by Talor Rapp to start the third quarter blew the game wide open for the Huskies who had a 14-7 lead at halftime.
The Buffaloes like the Huskies are hoping the nonconference schedule has them ready to make another run at a Pac 12- title. Colorado is coming off an impressive 41-21 win over Northern Colorado. Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre believes his team is ready to face the reigning Pac-12 Champions.
“We’re excited about Washington coming in here, and I know they’re excited about coming in, too. It’s a rematch of the Pac-12 championship game where they beat us pretty good in the second half,” coach MacIntyre said Saturday after his teams win over the Bears.
Husky Coach Chris Petersen believes his team is ready for the tough task ahead.
