The Seattle Sounders ( 13-9-5) will look continue their winning ways when they host the Philadelphia Union(12-12-4) Wednesday night 8:00 PST at CenturyLink Field. The Rave Green are coming off an impressive 2-1 Cascadia Cup-clinching victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday night in BC Place.  A Raul Ruidiaz brace was the difference as the Rave Green won an MLS best nine consecutive game.

A win over the Union would leave the Sounders tied for third place in the Western Conference on points with LAFC. The Union will be out to play the part of rude guest as they saw their five-game unbeaten streak snapped with a 4-1 home defeat to the Montreal Impact. The Union are fifth in the Eastern Conference and will surely be looking to regain their momentum for a playoff run.

“All of the stakes are high,”  said Union head coach Jim Curtin  after his team’s loss to the Impact. “I think every result matters in a big way. You see how tight the table is in the Eastern Conference. You see how quickly things may change, how quickly a big road win can go for a team. We were the team that was doing that a couple weeks back.”

For the Sounders the key to continuing there win streak will be to play compact soccer up and down the field.
